Cybersecurity – Security Gap Assessment in Energy

This self-paced course will focus on identifying security gaps in IT and OT through a comprehensive assessment involving analysis of findings and offering recommended solutions.

By the end of this course, you will be able to produce detailed reports on security gap identifications and offer solutions to address the concerns.

  • Identify the key factors in the current state of an energy organization's technology infrastructure, including:
  • Completion of a system overview Identification of any existing security measures Aligning the current available systems and security measures with the Purdue model
  • Conduct a gap analysis using:
  • A risk rating matrix to identify the impact and probability of an identified gap
  • Recommend a fix to plug the identified gaps
  • Prioritize the implementation of the identified recommendations
  • Develop an implementation roadmap
  • Convert your findings into concise bites of information for inclusion in the Security Gap Assessment template 
  • Summarize the entirety of the report into an Executive Summary for use by decision-makers to make time-sensitive decisions on implementing recommended gap fixes
