Make better workforce investments by understanding baseline skills.

Effective competency assessments provide crucial skills intelligence that drives informed decision-making for workforce transformation and training initiatives.

Competency assessments are structured evaluation methods that measure an individual's ability to apply knowledge, skills, behaviours, and abilities (KSBAs) required to perform job functions effectively. These assessments evaluate both technical and behavioural competencies against predefined standards.

    How does it work?

    • We start with a conversation about the essential skills and skills gaps that you’re concerned about
    • You can choose the assessments you want your team members to take or we can make a recommendation for you
    • Share the assessment link with your employees – the more data points, the better!
    • Our team puts together a report with the aggregate data, along with a recommendation on the next steps to address any identified skills gaps
Pro Tip: Choose a demographics overlay to enhance the analysis.

Organizations can enrich their competency assessment insights by including demographic data such as age distribution, tenure, education level, and location. This demographic context helps identify patterns in skill gaps, predict retirement waves, tailor training approaches for different employee groups, and inform succession planning.

Assessments build a stronger employer brand, reduce time-to-hire, improve internal mobility, and increase employee satisfaction.

You get the essential insights needed to make smarter workforce development decisions. More assessments yield a more detailed three-dimensional report on your workforce needs.

What does this mean for your business?

You’ll be able to strengthen your strategies and be better prepared to address challenges around recruitment and retention. A workplace competency assessment strengthens both recruitment and retention decisions through data-driven insights.

For recruitment, it enables more precise job postings, better candidate screening, and structured interviews based on actual skill requirements. This helps attract top candidates by demonstrating a commitment to employee development and clear career pathways.

For retention, it drives engagement through personalized development plans, transparent promotion criteria, and visible growth opportunities.

The assessment also supports succession planning by identifying high-potential employees and leadership candidates, while ensuring training investments are targeted where they'll have the most impact.
